WHY GRATEFUL TALENT

GOT STARTED

I started playing guitar at six and was immediately thrown on stage at my elementary school’s spring concert, nervously performing

Cats in the Cradle.

That moment sparked a love for live performance, which grew as I attended concerts of my favorite bands like The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. My mom called me a concert "addict," and I embraced it.

As I got older, I joined bands, singing and playing guitar, and performing for audiences. During the pandemic, while visiting a friend who owns The Bitter End, we decided to host a dedicated Grateful Dead night, which became Deadville at The Bitter End.

As I booked bands, many asked for help with other gigs, leading to the creation of Grateful Talent. What started small soon grew, and I partnered with my friend Rose at Arrowhead Ranch to launch Summer Jam, my first large event. Looking forward, I aim to help musicians get fairly compensated for their talent while ensuring audiences enjoy great value for their experience.

What makes Grateful Talent unique?

Grateful Talent was born from my personal experiences as both a musician and an audience member. I wanted to create a company that not only fairly compensates talent but also delivers exceptional entertainment to the audience—two things that don’t always go hand in hand.

What are the realistic expectations talent should have when collaborating with you?

Talent can trust that I always have their best interests at heart when booking a show, and every decision is made collaboratively, not individually.

What strategies do you use to enhance visibility and opportunities for your talent?

We leverage a full range of advertising channels, from social media and print to digital signage, to maximize the exposure of every event we’re involved in.
